Police, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), and members of the local peace committee launched a joint operation against terrorists in the Lakki Marwat KP.
On the instructions of Sajjad Khan, DIG of Bannu Region, additional police and CTD personnel were dispatched along with armored vehicles.
During the operation, two terrorists were killed, while four others were arrested. Two motorcycles used by the militants were also recovered.
DIG Sajjad Khan said the terrorists would be brought to their logical end. Search and clearance operations in the area are still ongoing.
Lakki Marwat has experienced several militant-related incidents in recent months, prompting security forces to intensify counterterrorism operations across the district and surrounding areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Authorities say such operations are aimed at dismantling militant networks and restoring lasting peace in the region.
