ISTANBUL: A high-level Gaza summit is being held today in Istanbul, where Pakistan, with its staunch support for Palestine, will urge the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces.
The summit is being hosted by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. The meeting brings together foreign ministers from eight Arab and Muslim countries, including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, the UAE, and Türkiye itself.
Pakistan is being represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The summit will review the latest developments regarding the Gaza ceasefire agreement and assess the ongoing humanitarian situation in the war-hit enclave.
According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the host will highlight Israel’s continued evasion of ceasefire commitments and its recent acts of aggression.
The spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office stated that Islamabad will emphasize full implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and demand the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from all occupied Palestinian territories, particularly Gaza.
