According to sources, evidence has emerged indicating that Muhammad Hussain, the terrorist killed in the incident, was an active PTI worker and remained in constant contact with the party leadership, acting on their instructions.
Sources said that during protest sit-ins, Muhammad Hussain was also involved in incitement, stone-pelting and firing. According to sources, during the protests, the deceased terrorist also targeted security forces with weapons.
Sources said that further evidence and information regarding Muhammad Hussain’s contacts with the political party’s leadership and his role during protest activities are being collected. According to his CDR he frequently contacted CM KP Sohail Khan Afridi, PTI MNA M Iqbal Khan, PTI MPA Abdul Ghani and Musharraf Afridi (Provin convener president ISF KP) during PTI rallies and sit ins.
Sources said that investigations into the Mall Road Rawalpindi firing incident and the deceased Muhammad Hussain are ongoing, and further important revelations are expected.
