Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated across the country today with great religious zeal and devotion. On this occasion, large Eid prayer gatherings were held in mosques, Eidgahs, and open grounds in cities and towns nationwide, where millions of Muslims participated and offered special prayers.
During the Eid congregations, special prayers were offered for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the country and the nation, as well as for peace and stability across the Muslim world.
On Eid-ul-Fitr, citizens, following the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), wore new clothes and applied fragrance before heading to prayer venues. After the Eid prayers people embraced one another and exchanged Eid greetings.
On the other hand, women prepared special dishes at home, while children appeared very excited to receive Eidi (gifts or money).
The government has made strict security arrangements across the country to ensure that citizens can celebrate Eid peacefully and without fear.
It is worth noting that Eid-ul-Fitr was observed yesterday in Saudi Arabia, other Gulf countries, the United States, the United Kingdom, and several European nations.
It should be remembered that Eid-ul-Fitr marks a day of joy and gratitude for Muslims immediately after the holy month of Ramzan.
