The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has changed the procedure for issuing intermediate result cards and has discontinued the issuance of hard copies.
According to board officials, intermediate result cards will now be issued in soft form instead of being provided in printed form. All relevant educational institutions have been informed about the new procedure. Results can also be verified online through the QR code printed on the result card.
According to the board, private candidates will be able to download a soft copy of their result card from the board’s website, while the result cards of regular candidates have been sent to the portals of their respective educational institutions. The discontinuation of the printing and delivery of result cards will save the board millions of rupees. The new procedure aims to digitize the result card issuance process and reduce the related costs.
It is worth mentioning that the Lahore Board announced the results of the intermediate examinations on Wednesday, with an overall pass percentage of 64.98 percent. A total of 189,373 candidates appeared in the examination, of whom the pass percentage among regular candidates was 71.67 percent, while the pass percentage among private candidates was 44.83 percent.
In addition, the pass percentage among female candidates was 73.74 percent, while the pass percentage among male candidates was 51.54 percent. Candidates can apply online for rechecking of their results.
