Govt announces over 200 jobs for teachers, staff members

ISLAMABAD: The Directorate of Federal Government Educational Institutions has announced over 200 new jobs for teachers, staff members.

As per details, the jobs announced are for the teaching and support staff positions in schools and colleges under federal government control.

The job vacancies are open to candidates from all provinces of Pakistan.

The teaching jobs positions are for Elementary School Teachers (EST) including (BPS-14) 121 for male and (BPS-14) 71 for female.

Eligibility

Applicants who are applying for these positions must hold a 16-year degree in any discipline. B.Ed. degree is not required for eligibility.

Other positions have also been announced in the following categories:

Librarian (Male, BPS-15): 1 seat

Library Assistant (Male, BPS-09): 2 seats

Assistant Librarian (Male, BPS-09): 8 seats

Band Master (Male, BPS-06): 1 seat

Sewing Mistress (Female, BPS-06): 3 seats

Age requirement

BPS-14 and BPS-15 posts: 20–35 years (with relaxation as per rules)

BPS-06 and BPS-09 posts: 18–30 years (with relaxation as per rules)

Application process

Applications will be accepted online only at induction.fgei.gov.pk. Applicants must upload all required documents at the time of submission. Roll number slips must be downloaded from the website and presented at the test center. Hard copies will not be accepted.

The test will be in centers conducted in six cities including

  1. Peshawar
  2. Rawalpindi
  3. Lahore
  4. Multan
  5. Karachi
  6. Quetta

Earlier, the Urban Unit of the Planning and Development Board Punjab opened 1,200 short term surveyor jobs.

Minimum qualification is Intermediate from a recognised institution. Prior survey experience will be preferred. The hiring supports city projects that need rapid field data and mapping.

In addition, walk in interviews will be held on 13 September 2025 from 10 am to 2 pm. Venues are Zila Council Halls across Punjab.

Cities include Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Jhang, Kasur, Layyah, and Mandi Bahauddin.

Additionally, Nankana, Narowal, Okara, Pakpattan, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Toba Tek Singh, Vehari, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur, DG Khan, Muzaffargarh, Multan, Lahore, Gujranwala, Mianwali, Khushab, and others listed in the notice.

Whilst, candidates should reach the hall in their district within the stated time window and register on arrival.
