Indian tankers stopped at Hormuz

Reports on media claim that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) allegedly stopped two Indian-flagged oil tankers while they were attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Arab meia, the vessels were carrying crude oil shipments and were intercepted during transit through the strategic waterway.


Some reports further allege that warning shots were fired during the incident. One of the vessels is described as a very large crude carrier (VLCC) supertanker.

The tankers are also said to have been transporting nearly 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude oil, although these details remain unconfirmed by independent sources.
