AJK Inspector General of Police Captain (retd.) Liaquat Ali Malik has exposed the planned “ulterior motives” of the banned Action Committee.
Addressing a ceremony in Muzaffarabad on the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Day, the AJK IGP said that the banned organization’s so-called “peace-loving” members abducted the family members who were present to receive the body of martyr Aqib. He said those sitting outside the region and abusing Kashmir Police should ask Aqib’s father about the reality of the banned organization.
Revelation About Aqib’s Martyrdom and Withholding of His Body
The AJK IGP said the group allegedly stripped the martyr’s family members, subjected them to violence and made immoral videos. He said Aqib embraced martyrdom in an ambulance, while the banned committee kept the martyr’s body for four days.
AJK IGP Challenges Those Spreading Propaganda
The AJK IGP said, “Those spreading propaganda without knowing the ground realities should answer: who was the oppressor—the person who tore open someone’s chest and burned him alive, or the one protecting the country?”
“If police officers are injured by gunfire, they are still called oppressors, while those who fire the bullets are portrayed as victims. What kind of justice is this?” he questioned.
