Web desk: Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir has made a major claim about Noor Wali Mehsud, the leader of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). According to Mir, Afghan authorities may be sheltering the terrorist leader inside the heavily guarded Kabul Diplomatic Enclave.
According to statements circulating on social media, Mir said that Noor Wali Mehsud is currently present in Kabul’s Green Zone. This area includes embassies, diplomatic missions, and key government buildings in Kabul. As a result, the allegation has drawn attention from political and security observers.
Some diplomatic sources have also claimed that the Taliban authorities may be shielding several wanted terrorist in the same area. These sources mentioned figures such as Noor Wali Mehsud, Hafiz Gul Bahadur and Bashir Zeb. According to the claims, some of these individuals may be staying within Kabul’s Green Zone, including the Wazir Akbar Khan district.
Diplomatic sources say the presence of internationally wanted terrorists near diplomatic residences could create serious security concerns. Because of this situation, some foreign diplomats may consider leaving Kabul if the issue remains unresolved. Staff members from international organizations have also raised concerns about security in the area.
Meanwhile, officials in Pakistan have repeatedly reported the Afghan Taliban government of allowing TTP militants to operate from Afghan territory. However, authorities in Afghanistan have consistently denied these accusations.
So far, the Afghan Taliban government has not issued any official response to these claims. In addition, independent sources have not verified the reports.
