MUMBAI: Bollywood legend ‘He-Man’ Dharmendra passed away on Monday morning at the age of 89, just days short of celebrating his 90th birthday.
Reports indicate that the veteran actor had been battling a prolonged illness. His health worsened earlier this month, leading to his admission to the Intensive Care Unit on November 10, 2025, where he was later placed on a ventilator. Over his illustrious career, Dharmendra appeared in more than 300 films, leaving an unforgettable mark on Indian cinema.

The Deol family had previously shared that Dharmendra was responding to treatment. On November 10, the actor, famously known as Bollywood’s ‘He-Man,’ was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital after experiencing breathing difficulties. He remained in the ICU for several days.
Renowned for his action-packed roles, Dharmendra enjoyed a career spanning over six decades. Making his debut in the early 1960s, he quickly became one of the most beloved and respected figures in the film industry.
