Punjab Police promotes 23 inspectors to DSP

WEBDESK: The Punjab Police Promotion Board meeting at the Central Police Office concluded on Saturday.

The Inspector General of Punjab (IG Punjab), Dr. Usman Anwar, approved the regular promotion of 23 inspectors to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). Official notifications have been issued.

The promotion board meeting was conducted digitally under the Human Resource Management System (HRMS). Officers’ Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) were reviewed, and merit and rules were strictly followed, a spokesperson said.

The meeting was chaired by Additional IG Punjab, Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry. Dr. Anwar congratulated the promoted officers and their families and encouraged them to continue serving Pakistan selflessly and protect the country fearlessly.

Over the past two and a half years, more than 555 inspectors have been promoted to DSP.

Among the promoted officers are:

  • Syed Asad Bukhari, Mudassir Ullah Khan, Syed Hasanat Hussain Shah, Basharat Ali, Zubair Ikhlaq
  • Saad Azeem, Muhammad Ashfaq Butt, Akbar Masood, Muhammad Asghar Khan, Ali Asif, Muhammad Sarwar
  • Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Tariq, Muhammad Arshad Nadeem, Muhammad Kaleem, Haseen Saleem Mehr
  • Muhammad Ramzan, Shahid Hussain, Muhammad Hasan Tahir, Ghulam Rasool
  • Tariq Sattar, Muhammad Abid Hayee, Muhammad Faisal Nadeem

The promotion follows merit based criteria and departmental rules, ensuring experienced officers are elevated to lead and manage key responsibilities in Punjab Police.
