Religious scholar Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza was arrested by Jhelum police under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO), private media reported.
He was taken into custody from his Jhelum Academy and later shifted to jail.
He is regarded as one of Pakistan’s prominent religious figures.

Muhammad Ali Mirza, also known as Engineer Ali Mirza or EMAM by his initials, is a Pakistani social media personality.
According to reports, Jhelum Police have taken Mirza into custody under the 3MPO and transferred him to jail. Police stated that the arrest was carried out on the orders of Deputy Commissioner Jhelum, Syed Maisam Abbas.

Officials said the arrest followed a petition filed by religious parties. Delegations of various scholars met the district administration on Monday, pressing for action against him.
Police and district officials say the detention order came from the Jhelum DC, and authorities have sealed Mirza’s academy.

Additional Director Chaudhry Iftikhar, in an interview with a private TV channel, revealed that Ducky Bhai had been promoting gambling among children and misleading them through his videos.
He alleged that the YouTuber displayed vulgar behaviour and encouraged the use of gambling apps. It is said that through them billions of rupees were being transferred abroad.
According to the latest updates, Ducky Bhai has issued a public apology. Ducky Bhai acknowledged that during his roasting era, some of his videos were inappropriate and expressed regret to the nation.
In a video statement, he also admitted to promoting certain mobile applications without proper verification. He confessed that he was unaware of his responsibilities at the time and vowed to be more careful in the future.
