Web desk: The 21st convocation of Bahria University’s Karachi Campus was held. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf was the chief guest at the ceremony, as per a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Degrees were conferred upon 3,276 students who completed their studies in various disciplines at Bahria University. Including the Institute of Professional Psychology and the Pakistan Navy School of Logistics.
The Naval Chief awarded 95 gold medals and 90 silver medals for outstanding performance. “Students should make honesty, hard work, and integrity their guiding principles,” he said.
The ceremony was attended by graduating students, their parents, university administration, faculty members, and prominent figures from the education sector.
Field Marshal Asim Munir’s US visit
Previously, ISPR also reported, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), is currently on an official visit to the United States, where he has held a series of high-level engagements with senior political and military leaders, as well as members of the Pakistani diaspora.
In Tampa, the COAS attended the retirement ceremony of outgoing Commander United States Central Command (CENTCOM), General Michael E. Kurilla, along with the Change of Command Ceremony in which Admiral Brad Cooper assumed command.
He praised General Kurilla’s exemplary leadership and his significant role in enhancing bilateral military cooperation. While extending best wishes to Admiral Cooper and expressing confidence in continued collaboration to address shared security challenges.
The COAS also met with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, to discuss matters of mutual professional interest. He invited General Caine to visit Pakistan.
On the sidelines of his visit, he also interacted with Chiefs of Defence from allied nations.
Addressing an interactive session with the Pakistani diaspora, the COAS encouraged them to remain confident in Pakistan’s promising future and to play an active role in attracting investments.
Members of the diaspora reaffirmed their dedication to contributing towards Pakistan’s progress and development.
