Web Desk: Actor and model Huma Saleem has accused an unnamed “famous cricketer” of harassment, intimidation and emotional abuse, saying she plans to publicly identify the individual and present evidence through her legal team in the coming days.
The allegations were made in a series of Instagram Stories, where Saleem claimed she has been subjected to sustained mental and professional harassment despite having no contact with the individual for the past two months.
In her posts, Saleem said she decided to speak publicly after what she described as repeated threats and psychological pressure.
She alleged that the cricketer had attempted to interfere in both her personal and professional life by contacting members of her family, friends and professional associates in an effort to damage her reputation.
According to Saleem, people connected to her work also received messages that she believes were intended to undermine her career after she resumed professional commitments.
She further claimed that the alleged conduct had continued even after their communication ended.
Saleem described the relationship as emotionally abusive, saying she had remained silent for a long time but had reached a point where she could no longer do so.
She alleged that the cricketer repeatedly misrepresented their relationship to others while portraying her negatively. She also accused members of his family of contributing to what she described as a prolonged campaign against her.
The actor said no woman would willingly expose herself to public criticism unless she believed she had exhausted all other options.
Saleem said her legal team is compiling documentary evidence that she intends to release publicly in the coming days.
She also claimed she would disclose additional information regarding the cricketer, including allegations related to activities involving Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) funds at hotels. However, she did not provide evidence to support those claims in her social media posts.
The cricketer referenced in Saleem’s posts has not been publicly identified, and no response has been issued yet.
