Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during which detailed discussions were held on the overall regional situation, recent developments, and matters related to the promotion of regional peace.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the meeting the Iranian President praised Pakistan’s constructive and responsible role and said that Pakistan has played a positive role in reducing tensions in the region, promoting dialogue, and advancing understanding between different parties.
The ISPR stated that the Iranian President also acknowledged Pakistan’s continued efforts to encourage the peaceful resolution of conflicts and for regional stability.
It was also reported that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reiterated Pakistan’s stance that peaceful dialogue and cooperation are essential for lasting peace and stability in the region. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to peace in the region.
According to the ISPR, both leaders agreed that relations between Pakistan and Iran will be further strengthened and that close coordination and consultation on all matters of mutual interest will continue.
The meeting is being described as an important development in strengthening diplomatic and military-level ties between the two countries and promoting peace and stability in the region.
ISPR further stated that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir expressed his commitment to seek durable and sustainable solutions to all regional issues through dialogue and mutual respect.
