Web Desk: Thousands of people participated in a “Pakistan Zindabad” (Long Live Pakistan) rally in Muzaffarabad, expressing solidarity with Pakistan and rejecting the narrative promoted by a banned action committee, organisers and participants said.
The rally drew a large turnout from across the city, with participants waving Pakistani and Azad Jammu and Kashmir flags and chanting pro-Pakistan slogans as convoys of vehicles moved through major roads.
Participants decorated their vehicles with national flags and portraits of Pakistan’s civilian and military leadership, which they said was a gesture of appreciation for the country’s support and leadership.
Organisers described the rally as a demonstration of public unity and support for Pakistan, saying residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir had gathered to convey a clear message of solidarity.
“The people of Azad Kashmir stand firmly with Pakistan and reject attempts to create division and instability,” one participant said during the event.
Speakers at the rally said the large public turnout reflected growing opposition to the messaging and objectives of the banned action committee. They argued that residents had rejected what they described as a misleading narrative and efforts aimed at undermining peace and stability in the region.
Furthermore, participants maintained that attempts to create unrest in Azad Jammu and Kashmir had failed due to strong public support for peace and national unity.
Throughout the rally, demonstrators continued to raise pro-Pakistan slogans while displaying flags on vehicles and public spaces. The event remained peaceful and drew participation from people belonging to different walks of life.
The gathering underscored the strong emotional and political ties many residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir continue to share with Pakistan.
Meanwhile, organizers stated that the rally highlighted the determination of local residents to resist any agenda they believe threatens regional stability. They added that the event reflected the public’s commitment to peace, unity and solidarity with Pakistan.
The rally concluded without incident after participants completed a procession through Muzaffarabad and reiterated their support for Pakistan and the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
