Three-day celebrations marking one year since the success of “Marka-e-Haq” have begun in Lahore today.
At Liberty Chowk, preparations for the central ceremony have been completed, with a stage and sound system installed. A special event will be held this evening to pay tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces, while the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, will also attend on the third day.
A special traffic and parking plan has been issued for citizens. The celebrations will include rallies, walks, and special programs.
Authorities have directed citizens to follow the issued traffic guidelines and cooperate with the administration to avoid inconvenience.
Massive participation from the public is expected throughout the three-day celebrations, reflecting strong enthusiasm for the commemorative events.
It is worth noting that on day one people from every walk of life are flocking to Liberty Chowk to pay homage to the Armed Forces of Pakistan and to acknowledge their chivalry and resolve.
Two days earlier Punjab Information Minister had unveiled a chain of events scheduled from May 8 to 10 to mark the Marka-e-Haq celebrations.
Talking to the media at the Punjab Assembly, she announced that a large-scale musical event will take place at Liberty Roundabout on May 8 and 9, featuring patriotic songs.
She further said that the events will mark a commemoration of a landmark success achieved within hours on May 10, calling it a moment of pride and an example for the global community. She emphasized that victory is driven not just by resources but by resolve, highlighting the exceptional morale of Pakistan’s armed forces.
