Three people were injured in a drone attack on a cricket ground in Shah Tangi, Mamund tehsil of Bajaur district. Local sources said the attack was carried out while a cricket match was in progress at the ground.
Rescue officials confirmed that the injured were immediately shifted to a hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.
Following the incident, security in the area has been put on high alert.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the attackers.
Tribal elders and local residents strongly condemned the incident and demanded the complete elimination of militant elements from the area.
It is also stated that militants have previously used quadcopters against civilians to spread fear and terror, and several video evidences of such incidents are available.
