Following the Pakistan Air Force shooting down Indian fighter jets using Chinese-made aircraft in a war with India, the sales of a Chinese aircraft company have reportedly doubled.

According to the American magazine Bloomberg, the sales of Chinese aircraft manufacturer AVIC Chengdu Aircraft Corporation nearly doubled in the first quarter of this year.

According to the report, last year the company’s revenue increased by 16% to 11 billion dollars, while profits rose by 6.5%, marking the highest profit in the company’s history.

The report states that J-10 single-engine multi-role fighter jets of the company were used during the Pakistan-India conflict in May last year, during which the Pakistan Air Force reportedly shot down several Indian aircraft, including French-made Rafale jets.

The report further claims that the Pakistan Air Force tracked and monitored an Indian aircraft last night, according to security sources.
Economist editor said that the Indian Air Force has suffered heavy losses as Pakistani forces shot down Indian aircraft.

The report adds that this conflict was one of the occasions where modern Chinese weapons were tested in real combat conditions. India has also acknowledged aircraft losses during the war, but did not specify the number of aircraft destroyed.
