The U.S. Embassy in Islamabad has confirmed that it will remain operational tomorrow and continue providing routine diplomatic and consular services as scheduled.

However, the U.S. Consulates in Lahore and Karachi will remain closed for one day. Authorities have not disclosed specific reasons for the temporary suspension of services, though such closures are generally linked to security assessments, operational adjustments, or precautionary measures.

U.S. diplomatic missions in Pakistan operate under periodic security reviews, especially in light of regional developments and evolving security dynamics. Temporary closures of consulates or adjustments in services are not uncommon and are often implemented as part of precautionary protocols to ensure the safety of diplomatic staff and visitors.

The U.S. maintains one embassy in Islamabad and consulates in major cities including Lahore and Karachi to provide consular services such as visa processing, assistance to U.S. citizens, and diplomatic coordination.
