Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar has said that due to Pakistan’s successful foreign policy, the country received strong recognition in the Gaza Board of Peace.
In his statement, Atta Tarar said that Pakistan is gaining respect worldwide because of its effective foreign policy. He added that in the past, Pakistan faced diplomatic isolation, but now it is emerging as an important player in every major global issue.
He stated that Pakistan received significant appreciation at the Board of Peace and has now appeared on the global stage as an important country.
The federal minister further said that when leadership is honest, the results are always positive. He added that the Prime Minister has consistently raised the issue of Palestine and advocated for the rights of Palestinians at every forum.
While addressing the first meeting of the Gaza Peace Board in Washington, chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Palestinians should be granted their rights in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions. He stated that an independent and sovereign state is the right of the Palestinian people and that violations of the ceasefire in Gaza must stop to achieve lasting peace.
