The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a significant new facility for citizens applying for Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) online by releasing a new version of the Pak ID mobile application.

According to a private news channel, NADRA announced that Pak ID Mobile App version 5.6.6 has been launched with a new “View Card” feature. The feature allows applicants to preview their expected CNIC before submitting their application.

The authority said citizens can now review all the information printed on their identity card before finalising the application. If they find any errors, they can return to the relevant field and correct the details before submission.

Separately, NADRA also announced that registration of births, deaths, marriages and divorces through the Pak ID platform has now begun in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In the first phase, the service is available in all village and neighborhood councils of Peshawar district and will be expanded across the province in phases.
