Black Clover season 2 confirmed for 2026 release

Black Clover season 2

Information about Black Clover Season 2 was shared at the stage event at Jump Festa 2026. A new visual and a trailer were released. It was confirmed that season 2 will premiere in 2026. The series will air on Crunchyroll when it releases.

The anime production will be handled by Anime studio Pierrot. The original voice cast will be returning. This includes Gakuto Kajiwara as Asta, Junichi Suwabe as Yami Sukehiro, Hiro Shimono as Nacht Faust, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Yuno and Kana Yuki as Noelle Silva.

The original Black Clover manga was serialised in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2015. It is authored by Yuki Tabata. In December 2023, it moved to Jump Giga. In Japan, 37 volumes have been released so far.

The first season was directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara at Studio Pierrot. It aired from October 2017 to March 2021. It ran for a total of 170 episodes. In March 2023, the anime movie Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King was released in Japan.

Currently, the Black Clover anime is streamed by Crunchyroll. The streaming site describes it as

“In a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are both found abandoned at a church on the same day. While Yuno is gifted with exceptional magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without any. At the age of fifteen, both receive grimoires, magic books that amplify their holder’s magic. Asta’s is a rare Grimoire of Anti-Magic that negates and repels his opponent’s spells. Being opposite but good rivals, Yuno and Asta are ready for the hardest of challenges to achieve their common dream: to be the Wizard King. Giving up is never an option!
