News Desk: Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, while addressing a gathering of national Ulema and Mashaikh said that Allah Almighty has bestowed Pakistan with the honor among Islamic countries to stand as a defender of the Haramain Sharifain. He stressed that this sacred responsibility places a moral and strategic duty on Pakistan to uphold unity, faith, and stability in the Muslim world. He said that one who harms innocent children has no link to Islam.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir In his address shed detailed light on the internal and external challenges facing Pakistan, terrorism, national security, war preparedness, the importance of knowledge and thought, and Pakistan’s emerging role in the international arena.
The Field Marshal stated that Allah has bestowed upon Pakistan the honor of being the protector of the Holy Mosques among Islamic countries. He said there is a deep connection and notable similarity between the State of Madinah and the State of Pakistan, as both were established on the foundation of the declaration of faith and during the blessed month of Ramadan.
He added that the fundamental similarity between the two states lies in the fact that the Lord of the universe assigned one the role of Servant of the Holy Mosques and the other the role of Protector of the Holy Mosques. Referring to Operation Banyan-ul-Marsous, the Field Marshal said that he personally witnessed and felt Allah’s special assistance during its execution.
In his address, he emphasized that in any Islamic state, the authority to declare jihad or issue a fatwa rest solely with the state no individual or group has this right. He stated that with the backing of the Afghan Taliban, terrorism is targeting innocent civilians and children in Pakistan.
According to the Field Marshal almost 70 percent of the members of the Fitna al-Khawarij coming from Afghanistan are Afghan nationals. He clearly stated that Afghanistan must choose between Fitna al-Khawarij and Pakistan.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said the importance of knowledge, the pen, and intellectual heritage, noting that nations that abandoned the scholarly and intellectual legacy of their ancestors and the power of the pen suffered decline and deterioration.
