Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni met Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
During the meeting, the two sides held detailed discussions on matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations, the regional security situation, and effective border management.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Iranian interior minister appreciated Pakistan’s role in reducing regional tensions, its diplomatic efforts, and its contribution to promoting peace.
The Iranian minister said Pakistan is playing an important role in maintaining regional peace and stability, adding that its diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions are commendable.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination and cooperation to strengthen regional security, enhance bilateral collaboration, and safeguard shared interests.
