The Punjab Assembly has passed a resolution seeking a ban on former prime minister Imran Khan and his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), for spreading propaganda and working against the country’s institutions.

PML-N MPA Tahir Parvez introduced the resolution seeking a ban on PTI during the Punjab Assembly session, and the house adopted it.

The resolution demanded strict action against those who are spreading propaganda and have the intention to damage the state’s top institutions. It also urged the government to punish the individuals who played a role to harm national security in any capacity.

According to the resolution, any individual, whether they are political or apolitical, who works against state institutions, would face consequences.
