Claims of Pakistan airstrikes in Afghanistan refuted

PESHAWAR: The reports that Pakistan late night carried out airstrikes in Afghanistan have been denied.

Security sources said that any such actions would be publicly acknowledged, adding that recent explosions in the mentioned areas are likely the result of internal conflicts or feuds, which have become increasingly common in Afghanistan.

According to security sources, authorities also warned that some incidents might be staged by infiltrators, including agents linked to India, to create confusion. Social media images circulating in connection with the claims have been described by security sources as mostly old or doctored.

The sources highlighted that Afghanistan often shifts blame onto it for internal problems, especially amid mounting pressure following terrorist attacks in Islamabad, Wana College, and Peshawar. Sources added that any legitimate response by Pakistan would be evident, recalling the visible operations in Kabul last October.

The sources have further criticized India for amplifying the false narrative on social media, calling it part of a coordinated propaganda effort.

It is pertinent to mention here that Aartificial Intelligence and X’s Grok checks have also declared the images, posted by Zabihullah Mujahid, as old and reused.
