LONDON: Two young Pakistanis tragically lost their lives in the United Kingdom (UK) after being exposed to poisonous gas. Family sources confirmed that the deaths were caused by a gas leak from a heating system.
The incident occurred in the town of Swindon. The deceased youths were originally from Kotli Sattian in Rawalpindi. Both deceased were in UK for study purpose. Their funeral prayers were held in the Alperton area of London.
Earlier in June this year, two Pakistani sisters, Hajra Zahid, 29, and Haleema Zahid, 25, tragically drowned at Eryri National Park in North Wales, while visiting the Watkin Pools in the Nant Gwynant area. Both sisters were originally from Kahuta near Rawalpindi.
The sisters, postgraduate students at the University of Chester, were pulled from the water by emergency responders. Both were pronounced dead at the scene shortly before midnight.
