ISLAMABAD: In a joint operation, the Intelligence Bureau and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) have arrested four members of the TTP/Fitna al-Khawarij (FAK) terrorist cell responsible for the suicide attack at the Judicial Complex in Islamabad’s G-11 sector, according to the government.

During interrogation, Sajidullah, also known as Sheena, who acted as the handler of the suicide bomber, revealed that TTP/FAK Commander Saeed-ur-Rehman, alias Daadullah, contacted him via Telegram to carry out the attack with the intent of causing maximum casualties among law enforcement agencies.

Daadullah, a resident of Charmang, Bajaur, currently in Afghanistan and serving as the TTP Intelligence Chief for Nawagai, Bajaur, sent pictures of the suicide bomber, identified as Usman alias Qari, to Sajidullah for coordination. Usman Qari, from the Shinwari tribe, hailed from Achin, Nangarhar, Afghanistan. Sajidullah arranged his accommodation near Islamabad after his arrival from Afghanistan.

Following Daadullah’s instructions, Sajidullah obtained a suicide jacket from Akhun Baba graveyard in Peshawar and delivered it to Islamabad. On the day of the attack at the Judicial Complex, he fitted the jacket on Usman Qari.

The entire operation was directed and overseen by the TTP/FAK high command based in Afghanistan. Authorities confirmed that the cell, including its commander and three other members, has been apprehended. Investigations are ongoing, with more arrests and details expected in the coming days.
