PESHAWAR: Teachers and students of Cadet College Wana have demonstrated remarkable courage and determination even after the recent attack by militants.
Recalling the harrowing incident, several cadets shared their first-hand experiences, saying that the Afghan militants targeted our education but their attempt failed.
One cadet stated, “We did not panic; instead, we stood firm and succeeded with the support of the Pakistan Army.” Another recounted that the suicide attack occurred during drill but staff and the army immediately confronted the attackers. The terrorists’ attempt, like always, ended in failure, said another cadet. One student narrated, “I saw two militants being fired upon by the soldiers of the Pakistan Army.”

According to another cadet, the soldiers told the students not to worry as they had arrived. He added, “the attackers were advancing toward our building, but the army’s timely action blocked their path.”
The army didn’t give the militants a chance to fire at us, shared another cadet, further emphasizing how swiftly the forces responded.
“The terrorists thought they could succeed through this attack, but they didn’t realize the Pakistan Army was already present,” said a student confidently. During the attack, cadets raised passionate slogans in support of the Pakistan Army. Some even picked up stones, ready to defend their institution against the militants.
