ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has secured another diplomatic success as the Kashmir dispute continues to gain recognition on the international stage. It has become increasingly evident worldwide that the Jammu and Kashmir issue is not an internal matter of any country but an international conflict.
The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has reaffirmed its strong support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and their right to self-determination.
In a statement issued by the OIC, it was noted that October 27, 2025, marks 78 years since India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. The OIC General Secretariat reiterated its full solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their legitimate struggle for self-determination.
The declaration also expressed support for all resolutions on the Kashmir issue passed by the Islamic Summit and the Council of Foreign Ministers. It reaffirmed unwavering support for the basic human rights of the Kashmiri people, including their inalienable right to self-determination.
The OIC called on India to respect the fundamental human rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The General Secretariat also emphasized the need for a final resolution of the dispute in line with relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Furthermore, the OIC urged the international community to ensure the implementation of UN resolutions related to the Kashmir issue.
This statement by the OIC serves as a strong rebuttal to India’s false claims aimed at misleading the world. The OIC’s clear stance is being hailed as a diplomatic victory for Pakistan and a source of encouragement for the Kashmiri people.
The statement concluded with optimism that the day is not far when Kashmir will be free from Indian occupation and become part of Pakistan.
