SUZHOU: Pakistan has achieved a major milestone by winning the hosting rights for the Worldchefs Asia Presidents Forum 2026. The announcement was made during the Worldchefs Forum 2025 held in Suzhou, China.
This marks the first time that Pakistan will host an international culinary forum of this scale. The prestigious Worldchefs Asia Presidents Forum 2026 is scheduled to take place in October 2026, with events planned in Islamabad and Lahore.
Pakistan was represented by Chef Ahmad Shafiq, the founding president of the Chefs Association of Pakistan (CAP). In a competitive voting process between Pakistan and Malaysia, Pakistan secured 13 out of 21 votes, earning the right to host the event.
With this remarkable achievement for the country, the event will bring together presidents of chefs’ associations, top chefs, and delegates from 21 Asian nations, creating new opportunities for Pakistani chefs to connect with the global culinary industry.
The member countries of the Worldchefs Asia Presidents Forum include China, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Maldives, the Philippines, and Nepal, among others.
The Worldchefs Asia Presidents Forum 2025, held in conjunction with the 34th China Chefs Festival, served as the perfect global stage for this announcement, uniting culinary leaders from across Asia and around the world.
Ahmad Shafiq’s engagement underscores Pakistan’s expanding presence in international gastronomy and highlights CAP’s continued commitment to connecting chefs globally through education, innovation, and a shared passion for the culinary arts.
