PESHAWAR: The Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (North) has completed the repair and renovation of two mosques in Bajaur — Masjid Suleman Khel and Masjid Aarab — which were severely damaged in Fitna al Khwarij militant attacks.
As part of the restoration work, solar power systems were installed to ensure an uninterrupted electricity supply. The initiative has been widely appreciated by the local community, who described the Frontier Corps’ efforts as a symbol of peace and stability in the region.
Residents expressed deep gratitude to the Pakistan Army, saying that the restoration of these places of worship had won their hearts. The reconstruction included both interior and exterior refurbishment, along with upgraded facilities for lighting, cleanliness, and ablution areas in line with modern standards.
Following the completion of the project, large numbers of people have begun returning to the mosques for prayers. The efforts have further strengthened the bond of trust and cooperation between the local population and the Pakistan Army.
