PESHAWAR: University of Peshawar students celebrated a special day dedicated to the Pakistan Army, organized under the supervision of the armed forces. The event aimed to familiarize students with the professional skills, dedication, and responsibilities of the military.
During the visit, students laid floral wreaths and offered prayers at the Martyrs’ Monument to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the nation. In an interactive session, the Peshawar Corps Commander responded to a range of questions posed by the students, providing detailed insights into the army’s operations and role in national defense.
Students also showed keen interest in the display of modern helicopters, aircraft communication systems, weapons, and a live counter-terrorism demonstration organized for the occasion. The event included visits to the Army’s Hope Special School, where students met with children, and to CMH Peshawar, where they met and inquired after injured personnel.
Speaking on the occasion, students expressed deep admiration for the martyrs and the Pakistan Army, calling them a source of national pride. They condemned false propaganda against the military, affirming that the armed forces possess full capability to defend the country and remain the pride of the nation.
