The trader community in Tararkhel has rejected the strike call issued by the banned Action Committee and announced that all shops and commercial centres across the town will reopen and operate as usual from Monday.
According to the Traders’ Union, the prolonged closure of businesses has caused severe financial hardship for traders, daily wage earners, and ordinary citizens. Following mutual consultations, the business community decided to resume commercial activities to help restore normal economic life.
Sources said leaders of the banned Action Committee held several meetings with traders and attempted to persuade them to continue supporting the strike. However, the traders refused to change their position and reaffirmed that all businesses would reopen as planned on Monday.
Representatives of the trader community said the continued shutdown has badly affected the local economy, while labourers, small business owners, and the general public have also suffered significant difficulties. They stressed that restoring normal daily life has become an urgent necessity.
The traders’ decision is expected to bring a significant change to the overall situation in the area. The ground situation is likely to become clearer once markets reopen on Monday.
