Web Desk: Pakistan security forces killed 13 terrorists during two separate intelligence-based operations in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, successfully thwarting major planned attacks in the region.
According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, the first operation took place in the Bannu district. Security personnel conducted a targeted raid based on credible intelligence, resulting in the deaths of three militants.
Simultaneously, a second and larger engagement occurred in the Bara area of the Khyber district. During this high-stakes encounter, security forces eliminated 10 additional terrorists. Authorities confirmed that the deceased militants were actively planning large-scale subversive activities across different parts of the province.
In addition to neutralizing the threats, security teams completely destroyed several militant hideouts. The military also recovered a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and other equipment used by the operatives for their activities.
Following the initial clashes, security sources indicated that forces are currently conducting search operations in the surrounding areas to ensure no further threats remain. These proactive measures reflect a renewed commitment by the state to eliminate elements hostile to national security.
Meanwhile, members of the local community expressed support for the swift military actions, noting that such successful operations improve the overall security situation and provide a sense of safety to the residents.
Government security agencies reaffirmed their resolve to continue these counter-terrorism efforts without interruption. They emphasized that maintaining peace remains the highest priority and vowed to ensure the complete eradication of terrorism regardless of the cost.
