Pakistan cricket team’s stand-in captain Salman Ali Agha admitted that England outclassed Pakistan in every department of the game and that the team failed to perform consistently in any area.
According to private a TV channel, speaking at a post-match press conference, Salman Ali Agha said consistency is essential to winning in England. He said any team can make a comeback on any given day in cricket, adding that Pakistan has the ability but failed to execute its plans.
Salman Ali Agha said the Pakistani team always faces a challenge in England and that things are difficult for them whenever they come here. He said they arrived only a week earlier rather than a month in advance, which was not enough time to adjust to the conditions.
He said the Pakistan team is currently going through a rebuilding phase and that their bowling attack is relatively inexperienced. He added that they are not worried about the future because they are preparing the team for the future.
Salman Ali Agha said, “I admit that Rizwan, Saud and I have not been performing. The form of all three of us is a cause for concern.” He expressed hope that Babar Azam would be fit for the next match.
He further said Pakistan would have to perform better in away series, adding that the team has not been able to perform well in away series.
