Web Desk: Pakistan’s National Savings Centre in Sialkot has completed preparations for the upcoming draw of the Rs1500 prize bond, scheduled to take place on May 15, as thousands of investors await a chance to win cash prizes while keeping their savings secure.

The draw, numbered 106, will offer a first prize of Rs3 million, while three winners will each receive second prizes of Rs1 million, according to an official announcement.

Prize bonds remain one of Pakistan’s most popular savings instruments, particularly among middle-income households seeking low-risk investment options with periodic chances to win large cash rewards.

Pakistan’s prize bond scheme operates under the National Savings framework and allows citizens to invest money without exposure to market volatility.

Unlike lottery systems, investors retain the original value of their bonds even if they do not win a prize, making the scheme widely viewed as a safer form of savings.

Citizens can purchase prize bonds through offices of the State Bank of Pakistan Banking Services Corporation, designated commercial banks and National Savings centres after submitting an application form and a copy of their national identity card.

Meanwhile, successful participants can claim prize money through the same institutions by submitting the prescribed claim form.

Prize bond draws are held regularly throughout the year in different cities across Pakistan and continue to attract strong public interest despite the expansion of digital banking and alternative investment products.

Financial analysts say prize bonds remain especially attractive in smaller cities and among conservative investors because of their government backing and straightforward purchasing process.

The upcoming Sialkot draw follows the February 2026 draw, in which bond number 429148 won the first prize.

Additionally, the second prizes in the previous draw went to bond numbers 430347, 591133 and 628300.

Authorities expect a large number of participants to monitor the results closely once the draw begins on Thursday.
