Web Desk: The Punjab Education Curriculum and Training Authority (PECTA) has launched a new teacher training program aimed at improving digital learning and information technology skills among educators across the province.

Under the initiative, selected teachers from different districts will attend four-day workshops in Lahore and Islamabad starting June 2. The program will focus on modern educational technology and digital teaching methods.

According to officials, the first round of workshops will run from June 2 to June 5 at PECTA headquarters in Lahore and at its Islamabad center.

In the first phase, 34 master trainers in Lahore and 32 in Islamabad will receive specialized instruction in digital education tools and classroom technology.

Meanwhile, PECTA has scheduled a second batch of training sessions from June 9 to June 12 in Lahore. Another group of 34 master trainers will participate in that phase.

PECTA directed chief executive officers and district education authorities to ensure the participation of nominated teachers. Officials also issued formal instructions to relieve selected trainers from routine duties so they can attend the workshops.

Sources said authorities have finalized teacher nominations from various districts. They also arranged computer labs and internet access for all participants during the sessions.

PECTA officials said the initiative aims to strengthen teachers’ digital capabilities and align classroom instruction with modern educational requirements.

They added that the program will help improve overall teaching standards in schools across Punjab.
