Pakistan will deliver ‘sharper, faster’ response to any indian aggression: Field Marshal Asim Munir

⏱ 2 minute read
Defence Forces Headquarters

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Chief of the Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces told officers from all three services that the newly established Defence Forces Headquarters marks a fundamental and historic transformation in the country’s military structure.

A Historic Structural Change

Addressing officers at the headquarters, the field marshal said the creation of the Defence Forces HQ represents a major step toward modernizing command and control. He noted that rising and evolving security threats make it essential to refine multi-domain operations under a unified tri-services framework.

He added that while each service would retain its individual identity and maintain operational readiness on its own, the new headquarters would synchronize and streamline joint operations.

Unified Command, Preserved Autonomy

The field marshal emphasized that the three services will continue to uphold internal autonomy and their existing organizational structures. At the same time, the higher command will function with strengthened cohesion, enabling faster and more coordinated responses to national security challenges.

Stark Warning to India

Turning to regional tensions, the field marshal cautioned India against any “self-deception or miscalculation,” saying Pakistan’s future response would be “even swifter and more severe” if provoked again.

Message to Taliban Authorities

He also said a clear message had been delivered to the Taliban regime: they must choose between the “fitna of the Kharijites” and maintaining stability with Pakistan, as there is no third option.

Pakistan’s Stance on Peace and Sovereignty

Reaffirming Pakistan’s posture, the field marshal stated that the country seeks peace but will not allow any compromise on sovereignty or territorial integrity.

He concluded by asserting that the idea of Pakistan remains “unconquerable,” protected by soldiers driven by faith and a nation united in resolve.
