Pakistan batted first and set a target of 208 runs after losing six wickets. Saim Ayub scored 56 runs. He built a 69 run partnership with Babar Azam. Babar remained not out on 50.
Pakistan made one change to the playing eleven. Fakhar Zaman replaced Sahibzada Farhaan and opened the innings with Saim Ayub. The decision helped Pakistan gain early momentum.
This match was the third and final T20 of the series. Pakistan had already won the first two matches. The series win also marked Pakistan first T20I series success against Australia in more than seven years
