School holidays

The Punjab government has confirmed that all news regarding early winter vacations on multiple  digital media outlets is fake.

The rising smog level fueled rumors about early winter holidays in Punjab’s schools. However, Punjab authorities verified that no decision has been made regarding school closures or early vacations this year in Punjab.

The public is urged by Punjab officials to pay attention to the official circular from the government and the Punjab Education Department.

The Punjab government last year, on November 3, announced a week-long closure and later extended the break for another week due to bad air quality.

Punjab official authorities are noticing the weather closely, but no move regarding early holidays has been made yet.

Lahore is currently one of the polluted cities in the world. Individuals, schools, government institutions, and official authorities are on high alert due to bad air quality. Moreover, the Punjab government can take an urgent decision regarding holidays in the coming days, sources confirmed.

No decision yet on School holidays

There is no decision has been made yet regarding school closure. However, the Meteorological Department issued concerning alert regarding the smog situation all over Punjab, especially in Lahore.

According to the department, smog conditions can intensify due to dry weather in the province.

At the same time, Lahore was on number one in the world as polluted city.

The Punjab government and the Punjab Education Department are closely observing the situation and can take a decision on an urgent basis, considering the smog situation in the province’s capital.
