When will Punjab distribute salaries and pensions this month?

The Punjab government announced that salaries and pensions for government servants will be issued earlier than usual this month.

As per a notification released by the provincial Finance Department, payments for October will be distributed on Friday, 31 October 2025, instead of routine schedule.

Officials from the Punjab Government said the decision was made considering upcoming weekend holidays on 1st and 2nd November (Saturday and Sunday).

The Punjab government officials sated that the move aims to ensure that employees and pensioners receive their dues before the extended weekend.

The official document signed by Section Officer (FR) Muhammad Younas, has been forwarded to all related departments, including the Accountant General of Punjab and district accounts officers. They have been instructed to complete the payment process by October 31.

The notification also extends to all administrative secretaries, commissioners, deputy commissioners, and heads of subordinate departments.

Furthermore, the Lahore High Court Registrar, District and Sessions Judges, as well as the offices of the Governor and Chief Minister, have been notified about the move.  

Punjab Government Increases Salaries of Daily Wagers

Earlier on October 19, 2025, Punjab government has formally announced to give a raise in salaries for daily wagers in the province.

New Wage Structure

According to the officialcircular, wages have been updated as follows:

  • Skilled workers: Rs. 1,975 per day or Rs. 45,945 per month
  • Semi-skilled workers: Rs. 1,558 per day or Rs. 43,108 per month
  • Unskilled workers: Rs. 1,538 per day or Rs. 40,000 per month

This new salary structure aims to enhance the living standards of workers who are dealing with rising inflation and the increased cost of living across Pakistan.
