WEB DESK: Most anticipated film of the year, ‘Neelofar’ starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan finally hit theatres nationwide today, (Novembr 28), after a five year production journey.
This is the third film of the hit on-screen couple, sparking nationwide excitement and record advance bookings across major cinema chains.
Neelofar is a poetic romantic drama set in modern Lahore, following the transformative relationship between reclusive novelist Mansoor Ali Khan (Fawad Khan) and a visually impaired but brilliantly self-assured poet, Neelofar (Mahira Khan).
Their accidental meeting evolves into emotional discovery, creative awakening, and eventual heartbreak raising questions about love, ego, vulnerability, and the cost of inspiration.
The film is written and directed by Ammar Rasool in his debut feature, produced by Usaf Shariq with executive producers Fawad Khan and Hassaan Khalid. The supporting cast includes Madiha Imam, Behroze Sabzwari, Atiqa Odho, Sarwat Gilani, Faisal Qureshi, Samiya Mumtaz, and others. Hum TV and Distribution Club are handling domestic and international rollout.
Released worldwide today, the film is screening across Pakistan and key international markets including the UAE, UK, USA, and Canada.
A glamorous premiere was held last night at Cue Cinemas, Lahore.
