Muhammad Rizwan sends message for flood victims in KP

Pakistani cricketer, Muhammad Rizwan has shared an emotional message for the people affected by the floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

He requested donations to support the flood victims who have been severely impacted by the disaster.

In a tweet on X, Muhammad Rizwan said, “My deepest prayers and love to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The images and stories coming out of the floods are heartbreaking. To everyone affected, please know that you are not alone.”

Rizwan is from Peshawar, KP.

Due to the floods in KP, 314 people died and 156 got injured, emergency has also been declared in the province.

Moreover, Shaheen Afridi has extended his prayers for the flood-hit families.

It is pertinent to mention that Buner district alone has accounted for 209 deaths and 120 injuries, according to the report, with 36 dead and 21 injured in Shangla.

According to reports, a village in the Buner district has been wiped from the map after severe landslide and many people are still trapped in that area.

A total of 159 houses have been damaged, leaving many people “homeless”.

There is no electricity or mobile signal in Buner, as power lines and mobile towers were damaged.

Due to the condition of the area, tourists are advised not to go to the northern areas of Pakistan in this season.
