Web Desk: Digital platforms erupted in fierce debate as netizens and regional commentators point out Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi of jealousy after he conspicuously omitted any mention of Pakistan’s historic role in brokering the newly finalized United States-Iran peace agreement.

The backlash intensified immediately following a statement by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who officially announced that Islamabad alongside Qatar had successfully navigated 108 days of intense behind the scenes diplomacy to secure an immediate permanent end to military operations across all fronts including Lebanon.

Despite global recognition of Islamabad’s diplomatic breakthrough, Modi issued a heavily sanitized congratulatory note on X that completely bypassed his neighbor’s leading efforts.

The Indian leader was “busy tweeting welcome notes while Pakistan actually did the real work behind the scenes.”

The contrast between Pakistan’s diplomatic victory and India’s recent maritime vulnerabilities fueled the internet’s outrage. Just days prior to the peace deal, a U.S. military operation enforcing a naval blockade in the Gulf of Oman struck commercial tankers tragically killing three Indian sailors and leaving multiple Indian crewed vessels stranded in the Strait of Hormuz.

Online critics seized on New Delhi’s passive response to the deaths of its citizens contrasting it directly with Pakistan’s active leadership in resolving the broader crisis.

Indian netizens, writing “3 Indian sailors dead in Hormuz because Modi surrendered to Trump’s bullets. Pakistan steps up like a real leader and brokers a ceasefire while our Vishwaguru is busy roaming around doing foreign selfies.”

Many observers characterized the outcome as a sweeping strategic triumph for Pakistan that has left New Delhi isolated on the periphery of Middle Eastern diplomacy.

Social media user Shaiq Uddin summarized the shifting dynamics, noting, “In just one year, Modi suffered a humiliating defeat by Pakistan and watched from the sidelines as Pakistan diplomatically outplayed India on the world stage, once again.”

As Pakistani officials finalize technical arrangements to lead a high-level delegation to Geneva for Friday’s historic signing ceremony, the viral online fallout underscores a clear consensus among digital observers. here are some comments under Modi’s tweet:
