Modi praises RSS, mentions border infiltration; faces strong opposition, criticism

Web desk: Modi’s remarks on infiltration are being seen as an open admission of failure by his government and security institutions.

India’s Congress party and other opposition groups have strongly criticised Modi’s praise of the RSS and his claim about border infiltration.

Addressing this issue, Karnataka state Minister Priyank Kharge lashed out at Modi, saying, “RSS are the same people who refused to hoist the Indian flag for 52 years.”

He further stated that Modi’s praising the RSS on Independence Day is an insult to the sacrifices of Indians who fought for freedom and democracy.

India’s Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said, “The RSS sided with the British, and even after independence, they did not hoist the tricolour at their headquarters.”

“RSS goons were actually British agents and touts,” Aujla added, further criticising the Modi government.

These tactics are regularly used by the RSS-fuelled Modi government. These tactics are being used desperately to cover up the disastrous, failed diplomacy of the country, according to observers.

Maharashtra Congress Vice President Dilwai remarked, “RSS talks about Hindutva today. But in the past, it acted as an agent of the British.”

He further added, “The Prime Minister’s claim is false. RSS is neither patriotic nor a servant of the people. Its real role is to divide society and provoke people against each other.”

TMC leader Kunal Ghosh criticised Modi, saying, “The Prime Minister’s statements about population and infiltrators are actually an admission of his government’s failure.”

“Border security is the responsibility of the central government, the Home Ministry, Defence Ministry, and BSF,” he stressed.

“If infiltration is happening despite BSF control, then this is proof of the Modi government’s failure,” Ghosh added.

The leaders of the opposition claimed that the Modi government had created insecure borders, demoralised institutions. And polarised citizens, revealing its incompetence.

The weaknesses of the Modi government are evident with the tall claims, border security failures, and domestic unrest, analysts report.

Critics believe that the Modi regime is leading India into hate and a divided nation. By propagating the extremist ideology of the RSS. According to them, the effort to paint a patriotic picture of the RSS is an unhealthy conspiracy. Which is what Modi is attempting to paint in the history.

Analysts warn that Modi has turned India into a fortress of Hindu extremism instead of a democratic state. Modi’s comments came at a time when the geopolitical situation between Pakistan and India is already tense.
