The ceremony marking the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq is underway at Pakistan Monument, attended by Asif Ali Zardari, Shehbaz Sharif, and Syed Asim Munir along with federal ministers and senior military officials. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gillani, and Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan are also present at the event.
Addressing the ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude to Allah Almighty for the great success of the Marka-e-Haq, saying that Allah turned the battle into a historic victory. He said the wise and courageous leadership of Syed Asim Munir would always be remembered.
According to the prime minister, the armed forces of Pakistan delivered a historic response to the attack carried out under the cover of darkness, and the entire nation salutes Field Marshal Asim Munir.
The prime minister said the courage of Pakistan’s “Shaheens” and the precision of the missile strikes left the enemy completely defeated. He added that the nation bows in gratitude before Allah Almighty for granting victory in the Marka -e -Haq.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also announced that May 10 would officially be observed every year as the Maka-e -Haq Day. He said the day would be celebrated with enthusiasm to further strengthen patriotism and national unity among the people. He added that the day would become a symbol of the nation’s resolve and courage and an important part of the country’s history.
