The short Hajj package will last 20 to 22 days, according to sources in the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
According to sources in the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the price of the government short Hajj package next year is expected to be set at approximately PKR 1.3 million.
The sources said that pilgrims under the government Hajj scheme may have to bear higher expenses than last year, with the cost expected to increase by around PKR 100,000 compared to the previous year.
According to the sources, the short Hajj package will have a duration of 20 to 22 days, while the 40-day long Hajj package is also expected to become around PKR 50,000 more expensive. Its expected price could be around PKR 1.2 million.
The sources further stated that pilgrims will be allowed to pay the Hajj expenses in two installments, with payments of approximately PKR 600,000 each.
It is worth noting that last year, the short Hajj package cost approximately PKR 1.2 million, while the long Hajj package cost around PKR 1.15 million.
The stipulated increase in prices would reflect the continued rise in Hajj-related expenses, including accommodation, transportation, and other operational costs. The final Hajj policy, package prices, application schedule, and payment procedure are expected to be announced by the Ministry of Religious Affairs after formal approval by the federal government. Until then, the figures remain estimates based on information from ministry sources.
