MUMBAI: Indian actress Mahieka Sharma has finally reacted to rumours linking her engagement to cricketer Hardik Pandya.
Speculations began when fans noticed a sparkling ring on Mahieka’s finger. The rumours intensified after Hardik, who confirmed his relationship with the actress and model in October this year, recently shared a series of affectionate photos on social media. The images drew attention to the large, shiny ring Mahieka was wearing, prompting fans to wonder if the couple had secretly gotten engaged. Mahieka has now addressed the buzz.
On Friday, Mahieka posted a picture on Instagram of a black cat with pink hair and wrote that social media had already decided she was engaged, even though she simply enjoys wearing nice jewellery every day.
She followed it with another humorous post, joking that the next rumour might claim she is pregnant. Along with this, she shared a picture of a man riding a toy car and asked fans what they would do if she used that to escape pregnancy speculation.
Earlier on Wednesday, Hardik Pandya had shared photos on Instagram highlighting the three priorities in his life including cricket, his son Agastya, and his girlfriend Mahieka Sharma.
He also posted a video, and in other pictures, the couple could be seen working out together in a gym. In one mirror selfie, Hardik is seen lifting Mahieka in his arms.
It is worth noting that Hardik confirmed his relationship with Mahieka in October this year, just a few weeks after dating rumours surfaced.
Hardik was previously married to actress Natasa Stankovic. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in 2020 and welcomed their son Agastya the same year in July.
After four years of marriage, they announced their separation in 2024 and have since been co-parenting their son.
